Who is Storm Huntley? Meet Glasgow-born TV star who hosts Channel 5's Jeremy Vine

Storm Huntley is a Scots TV presenter who now resides in London and is best known for co-hosting Jeremy Vine on Channel 5.

Born in Glasgow, Storm went to school in Bishopbriggs and went on to study at the University of Glasgow, where she graduated with a degree in Politics and Economics.

After venturing down to London to try her hand on the showbiz circuit, Storm hasn't looked back and has seen her career go from strength to strength.

But who is this TV star who is rivalling fellow Scot Lorraine Kelly with her down-to-earth nature on the box, natural wit and warm manner? Let's find out!

Career

After leaving university, Storm dabbled in radio work and eventually went on to become a weather girl with STV.

She then landed a presenting role with CBeebies Down on the Farm with co-host JB Gill.

Storm then went on to join The Wright Stuff team back in May 2015.

And when Jeremy Vine took over, she remained on the show where she takes calls from viewers and co-hosts the show with Jeremy himself.

Married life

The presenter is married to Scots singer Kerr Okan.

Kerr, from Motherwell, is the lead singer for Scots rock band The LaFontaines, who have played at the likes of TRNSMT, T in the Park and the 02 Academy.

The pair got engaged back in 2020 and Kerr proposed with a stunning vintage cluster ring which she proudly showed off.

Due to the pandemic, the pair got married in a private ceremony in Loch Lomond but then threw a huge party in Kerr's parent's home in Motherwell.

Despite being at home the pair decorated the garden in style with a gorgeous marquee, which came with a huge disco ball and dance floor, alongside some funky garden furniture made from fake grass.

A hand-painted sign also pointed guests in the right direction of things such as 'love', 'dancing', 'food' and 'drinks'.

Storm drafted in the help of events company Blue Parrot Events Group to transform the garden, ready for partying.

On Instagram, she wrote: "Who says you can't create a fairytale wedding in a garden in Motherwell? Couldn't have done it without these guys though! @blueparroteventsgroupltd."

Pregnancy

Shortly after their fairytale wedding, the couple announced that they had a 'bun in the oven' with a quirky Instagram post.

A few weeks later, they announced that they were expecting a baby boy as they shared a video of Kerr kicking a football which revealed blue smoke.

Storm's pregnancy wasn't plain sailing however, as she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes whilst carrying her son and then later caught covid.

Becoming a mum

Just this week the star revealed that her little boy had arrived sharing an adorable snap of them shortly after he was born, announcing that they had called him Otis Abi Okan.

She wrote: "So this is the little person who will forever hold my heart in his hands…Otis Abi Okan Born 9:17am. 7.7 pounds."

Stalking terror

Back in 2019, the presenter was subjected to a torrent of disturbing content on social media for over a year from 38-year-old man Michael Craig Sterling.

The stalker bombarded Storm with threatening and sexualised messages.

In January 2019, Sterling made initial contact with the presenter via her Twitter account.

After being blocked, he then began using alternate social media accounts to send further messages of a disturbing nature.

Sterling, who suffers from significant mental health issues, believed at one point that he and Storm, who works on Channel 5's the Wright Stuff, were close friends.

And in 2020, he was handed a hospital order after pleading guilty to a charge of "pursuing a course of conduct amounting to stalking".
