Rebecca Welch will become the first woman to referee a Premier League match when she takes charge of Fulham vs Burnley on 23 December.

Welch, from Washington in Tyne and Wear, has earned her first top flight appointment with the whistle shortly after becoming the first female referee to be involved in an officiating capacity in the Premier League.
