Love Island is back, and a fresh cast of new islanders are in the villa hoping to find love.

The sexy singletons are spending the summer in a luxury Majorcan villa–while reality TV fans tune in every night to find out who will hit it off and who will simply be pied off.

The first wave of Love Island contestants coupled up and started getting to know each other. But with heads already turned, how long will the couples last?

One of the original islanders is Paige Thorne–find out everything we know about her so far…

Who is Paige Thorne?

Paige Thorne is a 24-year-old paramedic from Swansea.

She said she will bring “positive energy, lots of bubbly energy” to the villa, adding that she’s a “good cook” and “quite mumsy,” so will look after her fellow islanders.

Paige will also look after her future partner, potentially “too much,” she admitted. The paramedic said she’ll “put their work clothes on the radiators in the morning so they’re warm to get into, bake cookies on the weekend, meal prep for them,” adding that she likes “little gestures that just mean a lot.”

Cooking is also how Paige tries to impress someone, as she says: “They say the way to a guy’s heart is through his stomach right, so I’d probably try cooking.”

She’s looking for love after being unlucky in Swansea, and wants to enter the villa to “break out and broaden [her] horizons.”

Paige’s mum would describe her as a “little princess,” while her friends consider her a “party girl” and “down to earth.”

She’s also a romantic and says: “I just have lots of love to give, I just love, love!”

“Books and movies have just ruined love for me, my expectations are up there,” she explained, and, adding, “My dream has always been to be having a coffee and a guy bumps into me, like a fairytale, that would be my ideal meeting.”

Paige may cause some trouble in the villa, as she says: “If I really like the guy and it’s worth treading on toes for, then I will, but I wouldn’t do it just to do it.

“I would only do it if it was absolutely necessary and the guy was worth it,” adding that she would still try to stick to the girl code.

It was revealed that as a paramedic, Paige had saved the life of a man who has described her as a “beautiful person,” as reported by WalesOnline.

Andy Humphries, 58, from Swansea, said that when he collapsed at a doctor’s surgery, Paige was one of the paramedics who turned up to help him.

He said: “I owe my life to her, and she was so good to me. She waited with me when I got to the hospital, she stayed while I had scans.

“It happened just before the first lockdown, and she told me that she had not long qualified, but she was amazing and totally wonderful.”

Love Island is on every day at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV hub. Episodes are available the following morning on Britbox.
