Paddy Considine takes a key role in the cast of the upcoming show House Of The Dragon. The show is a prequel to Game Of Thrones and will air on Sky Atlantic NOW from August 21.
House of the Dragon will focus on events occurring 200 years before the hit HBO series Game of Thrones in the land of Westeros. Like the original series, it will be based on a novel by George RR Martin, 2018's Fire & Blood.
House Of The Dragon will give viewers a closer look at the Targaryen family, which spawned one of Game Of Thrones' most popular characters - Daenerys, the Mother of Dragons. Fans can also expect to see an earlier battle for the Iron Throne.

Who is Paddy Considine playing in House of the Dragon?
Paddy Considine will play King Viserys I in House Of The Dragon. He is one of the main characters in the series and his decisions will drive much of the drama.
In the book, Viserys is known as a generous and amiable man. In contrast to many of the rulers in Game Of Thrones, he is a popular king.
An accomplished actor, Paddy has starred in several films and TV series including Peaky Blinders, Blitz and Dead Man’s Shoes. His big breakthrough came in 1999 with a role in Shane Meadows' A Room For Romeo Brass.
Paddy has three children with his wife of 20 years, Shelley. Paddy and Shelley have been together since he was 18 years old.
Considine grew up near Burton-on-Trent with a brother and four sisters. The family lived in a council estate in Winshill.
The 48-year-old moved away from his hometown in 1994, to study Photography at the University of Brighton. Paddy has won several awards throughout his acting career including Best Actor at The British Independent Film Awards and Empire Awards.
