Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani is the latest figure reportedly interested in purchasing Liverpool Football Club - less than a week after Fenway Sports Group's willingness to listen to offers became public knowledge.
On Monday afternoon, The Athletic's David Ornstein reported that the American group were ready to listen to offers for the club they purchased for just £300m back in October 2010. As recently as May, American business publication Forbes estimated Liverpool's value to stand at an eye-watering $4bn, hinting that any arrangement to take the club off the hands of John W. Henry and co could surpass the current world-record sale of $4.65 billion for the NFL’s Denver Broncos.
Earlier in the week, FSG provided the following statement to the ECHO: "There have been a number of recent changes of ownership and rumours of changes in ownership at EPL clubs and inevitably we are asked regularly about Fenway Sports Group’s ownership in Liverpool.

"FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club.
"FSG remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch."
Over the weekend, the Mirror reported that Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani is interested in adding Liverpool to his business portfolio, which already includes cricket giants the Mumbai Indians and Reliance Industries - the largest private sector corporation in India.
But with his name circulating in association with Liverpool Football Club, who is Ambani?
The 65-year-old is the owner of Reliance Industries, which is said to have total assets of $220bn, according to a valuation earlier this year. Ambani has a background in education and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Following his success at the ICT, Ambani started a Master of Business Administration post-graduate degree at California's Stanford University. However, he withdrew in 1980 to help his father expand Reliance Industries.
His wife, Nita, is the owner of Reliance Foundation. A non-profit organisation which aims to promote sustainable growth in India, entirely owned by Reliance Industries.
Earlier this year, Ambani was named tenth on Forbes' rich list, with an estimated net worth of $90.7bn. He is currently listed ahead of Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whose net worth is estimated to be $67.3bn.
Ambani's wealth comes as a by-product of the success of the organisation that was originally formed by his father in the 1980s, Reliance Industries. It is a conglomerate company, based in Mumbai, that has expanded its business ventures to now include energy, petrochemicals, natural gas and textiles.
Such is his wealth, he lives at the Antilia building in Mumbai, one of the world's most expensive private living complexes, which has a reported value of $1bn.
With reports linking the Indian with a takeover of Liverpool, Ambani is no outsider to sports ownership as he owns the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians through his business establishment. Despite an enormous and unmistakable passion for cricket, he is said to have also played a vital role in the construction of the Indian Super League, the country's professional top-tier league, which was launched in 2013.
Ambani is said to be a regular watcher of the Mumbai Indians, which he co-owns alongside his wife.
The ECHO understands FSG are seeking new shareholders at Liverpool and have not ruled out the prospect of a full sale at the club. The American group, led by principal owner John W. Henry, have also recruited major banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to assess market conditions.
