Emmerdale viewers have been left shocked after it was revealed Marcus Dean has been cheating on his boyfriend Ethan Anderson.
The couple has been going through a rocky patch but Ethan decided Marcus was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. However, in the middle of his proposal, Marcus's ex lover comes down the stair, zipping up his jeans.
He smirks at Ethan and tells him: "That's well sweet. I mean literally." He then brags: "It wasn't just last night, we used to be a thing."

When Ethan confronts Marcus about it, Marcus excuses his behaviour by saying: "We are from two different worlds. It's not about love, it's about respect."
He added: "I messed up, I'm human." Ethan, visibly hurt, breaks things off with Marcus there and then.
Emmerdale fans were not only shocked to find out it was Marcus involved in another cheating storyline but also curious as to who the new character is and whether he is here to stay. All we know at this stage is that he is called Joe and is played by The Outlaws actor Joseph Passafaro.
While Marcus actor Darcy Grey is set to leave the village, it is not yet clear whether this was the last we saw of Joe. Some fans hope for his return however, after complaining of "another boring episode".
@penniless_poet asked: "Can we have Marcus's new bloke in Emmerdale full time? He sounds like a right laugh - unlike those two."
@KWMadhead94 said: "I thought Ethan was the one cheating.. but nope it’s Marcus??"
And @TJuice247 commented: "Not giving Emmerdale my views anymore, EastEnders is the way forward for the next couple of months until they pull their act together."
@SAfricanAnimal agreed, saying: "How f****** boring has this been tonight. I'd rather watch a documentary about dust...."
