- Matchroom Boxing have announced Anthony Joshua will return to the ring against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 25 July.
- Prenga is a little-known 35-year-old Albanian who has won 20 of his 21 professional fights heading into his summer showdown with Joshua.
- All 20 of his victories have come by way of knockout, although he has not previously fought at an elite level like Joshua.
- This will be Joshua’s first fight of 2026, with the former two-time heavyweight champion returning to the ring after beating Jake Paul in December, and then being involved in a fatal crash that killed two of his close friends later in the same month.
- If Joshua beats Prenga, he is expected to face Tyson Fury later this year, with Saudi matchmaker Turki Alalshikh claiming on X that the fight has already been “signed”.
