The first Knives Out gave us Chris Evans in a chunky sweater and introduced us to overlooked talent Ana de Armas, who since has appeared in major films such as the most recent Bond film No Time To Die, along with Knives Out costar Daniel Craig.
However, unlike Craig, de Arma and Evans are not returning for Knives Out 2. Instead, a diverse array of actors and actresses is set for the sequel.
Craig might have waved Bond goodbye but his work as Detective Benoit Blanc is just beginning.

Who is joining the Knives Out 2 cast?
Craig will be joined by the Turntables singer Janelle Monáe. She has previously starred in Moonlight, Antebellum and Hidden Figures.
Kathryn Hahn impressed audiences with Marvel’s WandaVision, and at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards, she confirmed she’d be in Knives Out 2.
There was a reunion on set for Hahn when Kate Hudson confirmed she will partake in Knives Out 2. The pair first worked together in the 2003 rom-com film How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.
Other cast members who were seen filming in Greece for the film are Ethan Hawke, Jada Pinkett Smith, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline.
What to expect
Netflix has released a teaser for Knives Out 2 where we see Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc and Hudson and Bautista’s character in Greece.
The cast and crew are keeping a tight lip on the plot, however, director Rian Johnson told Vanity Fair the reason everyone is so quiet about the sequel is because “It’s just what Agatha Christie did,”
“It’s just coming up with a whole new mystery, a whole new location, all-new cast, whole new mechanics of the appeal of a mystery and everything. It’d be a blast,” he added.
When does Knives Out 2 come out?
At the time of writing there is no confirmed release date but the film is reportedly scheduled for release later this year.
