With the Premier League currently on hold for the World Cup in Qatar that is set to start this weekend, many are already looking as to how Leeds United can upgrade their side in the January transfer window.
One such player is 19-year-old Spanish left-back Jesus Vazquez after repeated calls for Jesse Marsch to sure up defensively have been made over the first half of the season.
While Pascal Struijk has done a great job in replacing Junior Firpo, who has missed much of the season with injury, his natural position is at centre-back and many don't consider Firpo to have enough quality to be a key player for the Whites going forward.

Here's all the information you need about the youngster to know what he's done in his short career so far and the latest about what's been said about him getting a move to Elland Road.
Who is he?
Jesus Vazquez has been part of the Valencia academy setup since he was five and has risen through the ranks to the senior side at just 19.
He made his senior debut for the Spanish side in the Copa Del Rey in December 2020 at the age of 17 where he started in a 4-2 win over Spanish third tier side Terrassa FC and went on to score his first goal for the club's B team in March 2021.
Since then, he's made 22 appearances for Valencia's senior side in La Liga and the Copa Del Rey but had made an impression in the Spanish national team setup as well.
He's represented his country 16 times across the Under-16s, Under-17s, Under-18s and most of all the Under-19s where he made appearances in the UEFA EURO U19 Championship Qualifiers.
What has been said about him?
Radio Marca Valencia, a Spanish outlet, believe that the young Spaniard's profile is 'liked' by Jesse Marsch and Leeds while Plaza Deportiva relayed similar information.
If the Whites do go after the promising talent, they'll be in a hard-fought battle for him. Gazzetta dello Sport, Italy's biggest sports outlet, confirmed Inter Milan's interest in the 19-year-old.
Inter are reportedly looking for a loan move with an option to buy but the Whites could cut in front of them with a straight transfer deal of around £5 million.
Dutch clubs AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord are also reportedly interested in his services, having already sent scouts to monitor the player in his matches for Valencia.
