The popular Netflix show Elite returned for its fifth season on Friday, April 8, 2022, much to fans' delight. The school drama follows three working-class teens who have enrolled on an exclusive private school in Spain.
However, the clash between the working-class kids and the wealthy students leads to murder. Season 5 of this series could focus more on a new mystery, new drama and potentially more questioning from the police.
The popular Netflix show will have a mix of returning fan favourite cast members, as well as the introduction of a few new characters. The teen thriller has grown in popularity since its first season in 2018. People were hooked from the murder of Marina and the trail of drama that followed it thereafter.

Who is in the Elite season 5 cast?
Elite season 5 will see fan favourites Itzan Escamilla (Samu), Omar Ayuso (Omar), Claudia Salas (Rebe), Manu Rios (Patrick), Pol Granch (Phillipe), Carla Díaz (Ari) and Martina Cariddi (Mencía) all return to the series for more drama. Fans will notice that there will also be some missing faces from the series in this brand new season. Original cast members Arón Piper (Ander) and Miguel Bernardeau (Guzmán) are no longer main cast members in season 5.
This is because the end of season 4 saw the pair go off travelling and it seems that they are unlikely to appear in season 5 unless it's for a guest appearance. Cast members who have officially left the show includes Ester Expósito (Carla), Danna Paola (Lu), Álvaro Rico (Polo) and Jorge López (Valerio).
New actors who have joined the series include Argentinian actress Valentina Zenere and Brazilian actor André Lamoglia, who act as students Isadora and Iván. Isadora (Valentina Zenere) is a social media influencer, whilst Iván (André Lamoglia) is the son of a famous Premier League football player. It has also been announced that French actor Adam Nourou has also joined the cast to play a student called Eric. Isabel Garrido is also in the franchise as Patri.
