Who is Ilya Zabarnyi? The £14m Alessandro Bastoni alternative Antonio Conte wants at Tottenham

Antonio Conte has enjoyed a quick start to the summer transfer window, and Tottenham technical director Fabio Paratici has shown no signs of slowing down. football.london first revealed that the Spurs boss wants as many as six arrivals this window; a centre-back, a wing-back, two midfielders, a forward and an understudy to Hugo Lloris.

Now, with Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster through the doors at Hotspur Way, the north London outfit can expect to welcome four more signings - one of which a centre-half, which has been a hot topic of conversation.

Tottenham pushed back plans to sign a new left-sided centre-back from January until this summer and that has become a priority arrival before pre-season begins. The top two names on Spurs' centre-back wishlist are also the toughest to sign in Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni and RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol.

Bastoni's agent Tullio Tinti stated this week that the 23-year-old will not be leaving Inter this summer after talks with the club's hierarchy. The Italy international is not keen to leave the San Siro either.

Spurs will continue to monitor the situation in case Inter's financial needs change the scenario, but that door looks to be closed at this moment. Gvardiol, who is valued at around €80million, is also reportedly keen to remain with the German side.

The 20-year-old has Manchester City and Chelsea keeping an eye on his availability if he or Leipzig decide on parting company. Aside from the mainstream rumour mill, there is a player who has gone under the radar as a worthy candidate for Conte at centre-half - Ilya Zabarnyi.

football.london understands that Spurs have been closely watching the highly-rated Dynamo Kyiv teenager and are weighing up a summer move for him. The right-footer can play on either side of the defence but does have a long-term deal with his side after signing a five-year deal last October.
