The Eurovision Song Contest is now here, with fans feasting their eyes on the world famous event and the job of hosting this year's competition falls on the shoulders of some well known stars from the UK and Ukraine.
While it was Ukraine who won last year's Eurovision, with Kalush Orchestra emerging victorious in Turin, it will be second place UK who stage the event this year, after the European Broadcasting Union announced that Ukraine couldn't do the honours. That decision sparked a nationwide search for a host city, which ended up in a win for Liverpool last autumn.
And now Merseyside has welcomed acts, delegations and fans from across the world for Eurovision 2023, which officially got going with Eurovision semi final 1 on Tuesday, May 9, followed by Eurovision semi final 2 on May 11 and the grand final on Saturday, May 13.
