On the surface, Erin Carter seems like an ordinary person; a wife, mother and teacher living in Barcelona, but under the surface there's a lot more going on, and that's what we find out in Who is Erin Carter?, a gripping new Netflix thriller.
The seven-parter follows Erin as her secrets come back to haunt her, after she's caught up in a supermarket robbery, and soon she's trying to protect her husband and daughter from her past.
But who stars in the series? Here's everything you need to know about the Who Is Erin Carter? cast...
Evin Ahmad as Erin Carter
Erin Carter seems like your average ex-pat but when she is caught up in a robbery in a supermarket, she is revealed to have excellent fighting skills and it becomes clear she's not the normal school teacher everyone thinks she is.
Erin currently teaches at a school in Barcelona, where she's a substitute teacher hoping to make full time. But before this she was ... no, we're not going to ruin it. You'll have to watch the show!
Kurdish-Swedish actress Evin Ahmad plays the role of Erin. She has also starred in Netflix's Snabba Cash, political thriller series Blue Eyes and is set to join the cast of Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.
Indica Watson as Harper Carter
Harper Carter is Erin's school-age daughter who is in the supermarket with her when the attack takes place. She soon finds herself in danger due to her mother's secrets.
Harper struggles with an eyesight condition as well as her lack of popularity at school, meaning Erin has to take care of her quite a lot.
Indica Watson has appeared in a number of TV shows including Gold Digger, The Midwich Cuckoos, Grantchester, and Sherlock.
Sean Teale as Jordi Carter
Jordi Carter is Erin's husband (though not Harper's father), who works as nurse in Barcelona. Much like his daughter, he doesn't seem to know about his wife's secret identity which could cause trouble for him too.
Sean Teale saw his big TV breakthrough in E4’s Skins, where he played the role of Nick Levan. He has also starred in the movie Booksmart, the Apple TV+ series Little Voice and ITV’s Mr Selfridge.
Douglas Henshall as Daniel Lang
Daniel Lang is a mysterious villainous character that appears to be after Erin. But who is he and what does he want from her?
Well for one, he's the father of one of the pupils at Erin's school. But his ties to the story may well go deeper than that.
Douglas Henshall is best known for his roles as lead character Detective Inspector Jimmy Perez in Shetland, and Nick Cutter in Primeval. He has also starred in Outlander.
Pep Ambròs as Emilio
Emilio is a friend of Jordi's who appears to have some problems of his own. He also lives in the same neighborhood as Erin Carter, so they see him a lot.
He is estranged from his own wife so his personal life is not doing too well, though as a police officer, he starts to find a lot of work right about the time that Erin Carter's secrets start tumbling out...
Spanish actor Pep Ambròs is known for his roles in Matadero, The Olive Tree, and Contigu.
Charlotte Vega as Penelope
Penelope is another of the residents of Erin and Jordi's neighborhood, and she's also on parent teacher board, so she's omnipresent in Erin's life... although she can be quite a pain in Erin's side.
That's also the case since Harper and Penelope's son don't get on, so there's lots of drama around this character.
Charlotte Vega is another Spanish performer, who grew up in Barcelona where this show takes place. She's been in movies like American Assassin, Wrong Turn and The Lodgers, and also has a role in Warrior Nun.
Susannah Fielding as Olivia
Olivia is the administrative assistant at Erin's school, and also her closest friend there. She helps Erin with advice and motivation for dealing with parents and the school board, and also babysits Harper when Erin needs.
Susannah Fielding is a British actress who's been in lots of TV shows, including Life, The Man, This TIme with Alan Patridge and Tom Jones.
