British supermodel Kate Moss has chosen actress Ellie Bamber to play her in a film that recounts how she sat naked for Lucian Freud back in 2002.
The actress is taking on the role of Moss, after being handpicked by her, in the upcoming biopic, Moss & Freud.
Moss will executive produce the film that tells the story of the famous supermodel sitting for painter Lucian Freud while pregnant.
Moss said: “As this is such a personal story of mine, it has been essential that I be involved in all aspects as the project has developed. I am thrilled by the recent casting. I cannot wait to see it.”
Who is Ellie Bamber?
Born Eleanor Elizabeth Bamber on February 2, 1997, she was brought up in Surrey by parents Zoe and David, alongside brother Lucas.
She attended stage school from a young age and has “always known” she wanted to be an actress.
At the age of 12, Bamber became the youngest member of one of the oldest music halls, the Players’ Theatre Club.
Bamber has appeared on both stage and screen and, in 2016, appeared in the action comedy film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
She has also played Dove in the Disney series Willow, Angela Kane in Thai drama The Serpent, as well as one of the main characters, Mandy Rice-Davies, in the series The Trial of Christine Keeler.
The up-and-coming actress allegedly has seven projects coming up, so it is likely we will be seeing a lot of the British actress.
Some of her upcoming films include Anna, a biopic about journalist Anna Politkovskaya’s fight for free speech in Russia, a crime-drama named Seven Sorrows of Mary, and a romance drama called Prisoners of Paradise.
Speaking previously, Bamber said: “I just say yes to what is really interesting. That’s basically the only rule.”
