Everton’s search for a new manager is continuing following Frank Lampard’s sacking on Monday.
The Blues made the decision to cut ties with Lampard following a string of poor results. Everton are currently second bottom of the Premier League table.
Sean Dyche and Marcelo Bielsa have emerged as the two leading contenders to replace the England international at Goodison Park. However, a report from Daily Mail on Thursday night claimed Davide Ancelotti has been discussed as an alternative. And with that mind, we have taken a look at who the young Real Madrid coach is.

Who is Davide Ancelotti?
Born in Parm, Ancelotti is the son of former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti. He played for both AC Milan and Borgomanero before turning to coaching at the age of just 20.
At 22, he gained a degree in sports science from and speaks five different languages. They are Italian, French, Spanish, German and English.
What clubs has Davide Ancelotti worked at?
Ancelotti's first foray into football coaching came in 2012, when he was appointed as a fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain, where his father was manager. Since then, the 33-year-old has followed his dad around Europe.
After a spell with PSG, Ancelotti then joined Carlo at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and is currently at Real Madrid, where he is assistant coach. He made the move to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium with his father back in the summer of 2020.
What has been said about Davide Ancelotti?
Speaking ahead of last season’s Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid, Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford namechecked Ancelotti Jr when asked about his dad.
He said: “Carlo had a very good staff around him. His son Davide and a really good team.”
Speaking last month, Carlo claimed revenge isn't a motivation for his son after many questioned his initial involvement.
"Davide does not need revenge. He has been appreciated in all the places he has been: at Bayern Munich, on his first adventure at Real, at Napoli," he told Il Foglio.
“The story of being recommended is bull***t. Davide is a capable coach, serious, he is getting great experience, he is very prepared and competent. He is from the young part of my group of assistants, composed only of Italians.
"The two who have the most experience are me and the athletic trainer Antonio Pintus, who arrived at Real after the Nerazzurri scudetto with (Antonio) Conte."
What has Davide Ancelotti said about being a manager?
Speaking to the Mail in May last year, Ancelotti revealed that his aim is to one day be a manager.
“I want to be a manager one day and he is the best example I can have,” he said. “I am really lucky to be his son, it is the best thing in the world if you want to be a manager.”
