Tennessee plans to put Christa Gail Pike to death on 30 September 2026, which would make her the first woman the state has executed in more than two hundred years.
Pike, 50, is the only woman on Tennessee's death row and has been there for more than three decades, condemned for the torture and killing of a fellow student in Knoxville when she was 18.
