When Real Madrid face Liverpool in the 2022 Champions League final, they will be bidding to claim a record 14th European trophy.
Madrid have reached the European Cup final for the 17th time this season, which is six more than any other club. Having won their last seven finals in the competition, their total of 13 titles is unsurpassed.
However, if the Reds were to take home the trophy, they would claim their seventh European title - putting them at joint second in the all-time list alongside Milan. Liverpool are currently the English team with the most European titles.
Bayern also have six, with Barcelona on five, Ajax on four, Manchester United and Inter with three each, and last year's winners Chelsea with two.
