Who can Arsenal face in Europa League knockout draw? Possible opponents for Gunners in last-16

Arsenal have won Group A to qualify straight for the last-16 of the Europa League knockout rounds.

Finishing first means avoiding a clash with a Champions League team in Monday’s play-off draw, which takes place next week at 12pm GMT.

Instead, the Gunners will not play again in Europe until March after a win against FC Zurich was enough to beat PSV to the honour. Eventually, however, Manchester United and Barcelona could be on the horizon.

Who can Arsenal face in the Europa League knockouts?

The play-off round will pitch demoted Champions League teams against Europa League group runners-up.

The last-16 will pit the winners of those games against Europa League group winners, with no restrictions on clubs from the same country or group facing each other.

Champions League third-placed teams: Ajax, Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla, Sporting CP, Juventus, Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk.

Europa League runners-up: Manchester United, Midtjylland, Nantes, Monaco, PSV, Rennes, Roma, Union Berlin.

When is the Europa League last-16 draw?

The first legs of the Europa League play-off round take place on February 16, with the reverse fixtures a week later on February 23.

With the eight winners of those ties confirmed, the last-16 draw will then take place on Friday, February 24.

Those matches will take place on March 9 and March 16.
