In recent years, the Eastern Conference has seen a rise in talent – much to the detriment of the Boston Celtics. Multiple teams are seen as genuine championship contenders, and rosters such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks are knocking on the door to be added to the list.
As such, there are genuine discussions to be had regarding which players are the best in their position throughout the East. The NBA offseason is the perfect time to have these kinds of discussions. In the latest episode of the ‘Green With Envy’ podcast, the hosts decide to tackle the question of who the best shooting guard in the Eastern Conference is. Is it Donovan Mitchell? Or maybe Jaylen Brown?
With so much talent to choose from, the decision-making process was tougher than one might expect. And, of course, taking contract value and role into account both provided some unforeseen pitfalls in the ranking system.
