They have a bit of a knack for producing some very catchy Eurovision entries and Maldova have done it again for 2022, thanks to Zdob si Zdub & Advahov Brothers, who are one of the acts in Saturday's final.

Notable Eurovision entries over the past decade have included Sunstroke Project who delivered the goods with Runaway and Hey Mamma, with help fo r Eurovision Song Contest icon 'epic sax man' and last year's entrant Natalia Gordienko, who held the longest vote in the contest's history during a performance of her song Sugar.

Moldova had to make it through the semi finals to land a place in the Eurovision final running order and, having delivered a memorable star turn during Tuesday's first heat, Zdob si Zdub & Advahov Brothers were among the qualifiers with their song Trenulețul. And the running order for Saturday night has served them rather well as they are the only up-tempo number in the second half, amongst a wealth of ballads.

Eurovision final odds predict a win for Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra, with the likes of UK's Sam Ryder, Norway's Subwoolfer, home country Italy, Serbia's entry Konstrakta who sang about Meghan Markle and Sweden's Cornelia Jakobs in the mix with just hours to go. And, going off the fan reaction to Molova, they've got to be in with a shout of a good result too.
