While his role with the Boston Celtics during his time as a player was never a large one, former Boston big man and current broadcaster Brian Scalabrine bore witness to all things Banner 17 during his time with the Celtics, and has a treasure trove of stories to tell from that era as a result.
The White Mamba — as he is affectionately known by as a nickname — recently stopped by the eponymously hosted “Dan LeBatard” show to tell his tales of Kevin Garnett and the fabled arm wrestling contest, his infamously illogical confidence as an NBA player, and who had the edge when the team played pickup games.
