Jagiellonia Bialystok star Norbert Wojtuszek admitted he was surprised by Rangers' tactics after their shock Europa League success.
The Polish side hit back to grab a 1-1 draw at Ibrox, which saw them through after last week's comeback 2-1 victory in the first leg.
Rangers now have to negotiate a play-off against Czech side Jablonec to make it through to the Europa Conference League, league phase.
And Wojtuszek admitted he was surprised at Rangers' shape. He said: "We expected them to play with a four-man defence, but they ended up only playing with three defenders.
"Our tactics remained the same, and we tried to play the same way at home. And later in the game, they had to change their formation to try and win the match.

"We knew that regardless of the score, we had to play our own football. We had more chances that way than if we had relied on clearances, long passes and fighting for second balls, because Rangers really like that kind of football.
"We tried to play passing football, create chances, and we managed to get a few. In the second half, we countered them once and scored. It's an amazing feeling, although it hasn't sunk in yet what we've done here.
"This is a great result for the club, for us, for the team, for the staff, for all of Bialystok, and I think for all of Poland.
"We can qualify for the Europa League, and we'll be fighting for it in the next two legs."
