Which of their 12 forwards should Rangers sell and can Celtic say no to £25m for Jota? Saturday Jury

Can Celtic possibly turn down £25m for Jota and what does a move to Saudi Arabia mean for his career?

SCOTT BURNS: Are Celtic likely to get more for him in the future? The likelihood is no so they have to take the money. Jota is putting money before his career although he will also be playing against some very big names. It is life-changing so who can blame him.

GORDON PARKS: Any fee due to Celtic will be massively reduced due to the sell-on clause in place for Benfica and like any player who puts money above morality, if he goes to Saudi, who cares about his career in a football nowhere.

FRASER WILSON: There’s no way Celtic could turn down that money, it’s their business model after all. Where the player’s career would go from a retirement league at the age of just 24 is a big question though. Will he have burned any chance of a move to a big European league where the serious football respect can be earned?

2) Aaron Mooy shocked the Hoops with his sudden retirement but big a loss will hebe?

SCOTT: Rumours have been rife in recent weeks that he was struggling at the end of the season. He did really well but he is not irreplaceable. I would expect Brendan Rodgers to more than fill that void this summer.

GORDON: It’s a real surprise but he’s always come across as someone who didn’t really enjoy or embrace being at Celtic. He’ll be a loss to the Australian team but again, there was always a flatness and dour side to him when he spoke about the game so maybe it’s not such a shock.

FRASER: Mooy overcame a slow start to be an integral part of Celtic’s Treble and combined with a starring show at the World Cup he’s gone out at the top. However, it’s no major loss as Celtic are more than covered in that area and Brendan Rodgers is sure to add to the midfield creativity this summer.

3) Rangers now have 12 forwards on their books but which of the dozen should be cast adrift?

SCOTT: It is clear they would sell Antonio Colak if the price is right. I don’t think Michael Beale will be bothered. If the price is right for any of his players they will go. He is just looking to generate funds to bring in his own players.

GORDON: Rabbi Matondo and Fashion Sakala, hit and miss strikers and the reason Beale’s tried to bring in some upgrades

FRASER: I’m a fan of Colak. As a penalty box predator he’s very, very good. But Rabbi Matondo and Scott Wright aren’t going to move Rangers forward while Alex Lowry could perhaps benefit from a loan move.

4) Wimbledon gets underway on Monday but how far do you think Andy Murray can go this year?

SCOTT: It is the boring answer but Andy is at a stage now where he just has to take it one round at a time and see where it takes him. He certainly won’t be short of backing.

GORDON: If he is still playing in the second week then it’ll be a success, we should all know better than to write him off. Could he win it? Yes. .

FRASER: Murray’s unrivalled ability to dig into his deepest reserves will hopefully mean the super Scot can reach week two. That’s when reality is likely to hit. But then who could have seen Goran Ivanisevic going the whole hog in 2001?
