A monthly survey of presidential approval across Latin America shows El Salvador's Nayib Bukele still comfortably ahead of every other Central American leader, but the gap is narrower than it was a month earlier, and at least one number widely repeated after the poll's release doesn't hold up against the full dataset. The tracking poll, run by consultancy CB Global Data between September 7 and 11, surveyed roughly 3,200 to 4,300 adults in each of 18 Latin American countries, with a margin of error between 1.5 and 1.7 percentage points.
