By now, you've reconvened with Nick and Charlie, but which Heartstopper character are you based on your star sign?
Season 2 of the book-turned-series hit Netflix as of Thursday, August 3, and everyone was curious to see how this newfound romance would develop. Do Nick and Charlie end up together, despite the roadblocks they face? How do things play out with the rest of the friend group, especially during the pivotal class trip to Paris?
There's a lot of ground to cover, and now that we're completely immersed in author Alice Oseman's universe, we spoke to a celebrity astrologer to see where each of us falls in the land of Heartstopper. Let's take a look! (And while you're at it, you'll probably want to add the Heartstopper season 2 soundtrack to your Spotify playlist.)
Which Heartstopper character are you based on your zodiac sign?
Astrologer Kyle Thomas provided My Imperfect Life with a breakdown of each sign's traits and behaviors, which in turn allowed us to analyze the Heartstopper characters to see where they fall on the zodiac—and compare, of course.
Aries: Darcy
"Aries are impulsive, direct, and courageous," says Thomas. "They are immensely fiery and pioneers. They desire to create change and be mighty for those whom they love."
Given that Darcy is a devoted girlfriend and completely vocal about her sexuality, we'd say the impassioned, no-apologies-given star is a fire sign.
Taurus: Charlie
Charlie might be sensitive, but he's also practical and tries to live on his own terms, which could be a struggle for a student who was outed to his school.
"Taurus are grounded, strong, and romantic," Thomas says. "They are sensual creatures focused on passion, possessions, and authenticity."
The authenticity trait is what truly resonates with Charlie, in our opinion.
Gemini: Nick
"Geminis hunger for new horizons and new ideas, always. They manifest new technologies, visions, and storms," Thomas says.
Nick definitely has a charismatic personality, yet we believe he is drawn to the symbol of the twins—for two reasons. On one hand, he's charismatic, but on the other, he finds difficulty navigating his sexuality.
Cancer: Tara
We'd never doubt for a second that the kind, approachable, and selfless Tara would be a water sign.
"Cancers are deeply sensitive. They hunger for safety, security, and emotional balance," Thomas says. "Their ability to nurture is unsurpassed. They create a home everyone returns to."
Where would Elle have been without Tara's guidance at school?
Leo: Imogen
Imogen is a force, that's for sure. And even though her strong personality can seem a bit much, we know this ally is one of the good ones.
"Leos are vibrant. They hunger for fury, whether that’s expression, art, romance, or dominance," Thomas says. "They desire being seen like a bright light."
Virgo: Coach Singh
"Virgos are meticulous, strategic, and giving," Thomas notes. "They plan their lives around how they can not only build their map but also save those around them."
Given that Coach Singh has become a confidant for her team, we'd definitely say the "giving" and "strategic" traits align well with her personality.
Libra: Mr. Ajayi
Like Coach Singh, Mr. Ajayi is a confidant for his students, and Charlie in particular relies on him when he needs guidance.
"They often release their own plans to sacrifice for another. They are excellent mediators," Thomas says of Libras.
Scorpio: Harry
While we know Harry is not one of the more well-liked characters of the series, given his bullying, we do believe he represents this water sign because of the fact that he is probably facing his own emotional struggles. (Not an excuse for bad behavior, but perhaps a reason for why he acts the way he does.)
"Scorpios are magnetic, dramatic, and wicked," Thomas notes. "They can balance the light and the dark but aspire to conquer their own demons. Some of them do. Others do not. Being born as a Scorpio means this person will struggle with intimacy their whole life."
Sagittarius: Ben
Given that Ben does not have his heart set on anything long-term, we can see him being a Sag.
"Sagittarius desires change constantly," Thomas says. "They cannot be put in a box or they will break it. They worship the idea of evolution."
Even if Charlie had been OK with keeping their connection in the shadows, it likely wouldn't have lasted because of Ben's personality.
Capricorn: Sarah
Sarah is a mother who had to fend for her children, and it seems her world is all about them. She's known for being accepting when Nick confides in her.
"Oftentimes, Capricorns turn their whole lives to building an idea, whether that’s their career, family, or a hobby. They seek long-term gain," Thomas says.
She likely has a few water signs somewhere in her chart due to her caring nature, too. Just a hunch!
Aquarius: Elle
Elle is kind and intelligent but found herself struggling when her classmates were not fully supportive of her transition, which is understandably a very difficult situation.
"Aquarius is structured, eccentric, and perceptive," Thomas says. "They like to control people and things using logic. They often have inventive ideas when they open themselves to exploration."
Pisces: Tori
Pisces are sensitive, spiritual, and compassionate, according to Thomas, and immediately, those traits bring Tori, Charlie's protective older sister, to mind.
"They are like a mirror, they can reflect a rainbow, candlelight, or darkness," Thomas adds. "They hunger to find completion but rarely do because they embody everyone else around them. In that, they heal people or destroy themselves."
Hearstopper season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
