Which Eastern Conference rivals should the Boston Celtics worry about after the trade deadline?

The NBA’s 2024 trade deadline is now firmly in the league’s rearview mirror, and the NBA’s hierarchy has shifted some with it. In the Association’s Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics still reign supreme, but should they be worried about new teams in the wake of their deadline moves?

The Milwaukee Bucks and to a lesser extent, the Philadelphia 76ers were the ball clubs seen as most likely to challenge the Celtics this season, but both those clubs have had their own struggles that have impeded such an outcome if not removed it entirely. But a few teams in the East made some moves to make themselves a tougher out, especially the New York Knicks.

Could one of these teams be a postseason threat to Boston after their trade deadline business?

NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg, Brian Scalabrine and Tom Giles discussed the new order of the East on the most recent episode of the “Celtics Talk” podcast. Check it out above!
