Fuel prices may have come down in the past few months, but it still costs a lot more to fill your tank than it has done in recent years.
According to the RAC, the average price for a litre of Unleaded petrol in the UK is 162.78p, and diesel is 182.17. But last week, drivers were warned to expect petrol prices to rise yet again after several oil-producing countries agreed to limit their output.
Members of the group Opec+, which includes Russia and Saudi Arabia, agreed on October 5 to cut production of oil by two million barrels per day, starting in November. The group says it has taken the decision due to “uncertainty that surrounds the global economic and oil market outlooks”.
