Hogwarts Legacy has many types of Beasts that roam the Wizarding World. From Hippogriffs and Nifflers, to Thestrals and Unicorns, the game’s many magical animals can be captured and given a new, safe home inside the Room of Requirement.
To gain the ability to capture a beast, players must progress through the game’s main story. After completing the Room of Requirement quest, The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom, the player will acquire the Nab-Sack, an item that allows the user to capture beasts.
Once a beast is captured, it can be added to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement. The different types of beasts can be found in their respective Beast Dens, which are scattered around the Hogwarts Legacy world map, and are represented by a paw print icon.
One particular beast in Hogwarts Legacy is the Kneazle. Kneazles are magical cat-like creatures, and are said to be highly intelligent and sometimes aggressive.

Players will first interact with Kneazles during the Beasts Class, where the player will feed and clean them at the school. Capturing a Kneazle is essential to completing 100 percent of Hogwarts Legacy, as well as using its fur to upgrade gear.
But they can be one of the trickier animals to find, especially if the player is yet to uncover the entire world map. Here, we explain where Keazle Dens can be found in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to find Kneazles in Hogwarts Legacy
There are several Kneazle Dens scattered across the Hogwarts Legacy map, with one located fairly close to Hogwarts. The den sits directly south of Brocburrow Village, just southeast of the school.
The Beast Den map icon is just north of an Ancient Magic site and a Spider Den. When players travel here – using the Brocburrow Floo Flame if it has already been unlocked – they will find several Kneazles that can be captured and added to your inventory using the Nab-Sack.
Like with many of the Hogwarts Legacy beasts, the Kneazles will run off once the player gets close, so the easiest way to capture them is to slow it down using the Arresto Momentum spell, or freeze it with Glacius. Players can then use the Nab-Sack to capture the Kneazle before it runs off again.
Players can also find Kneazle Dens northwest of Craggcroft, south of Marunweem, south of Northern South Sea Bog, and southwest of Clagmar Coast. Once captured, the Kneazles can be taken back to Hogwarts and added to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement, where it can be used to collect Kneazle Fur and bred – once the player has unlocked the ability to conjure beast pens.
If players are hoping to breed a Kneazle – which must be done to acquire The Nature of the Beast trophy/achievement – be sure to capture both a male and female Kneazle before heading back to Hogwarts.
To collect fur, care for a captured Kneazle using the Beast Putting Brush and Beast Feed, after which the magical cat will drop some fur which the player can collect and use to upgrade gear using the Loom. Alternatively, Kneazle Fur can be purchased at Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade for 400 galleons.
