Where to drop off warm clothes to help victims of earthquake

The West Lothian 50+ Network is appealing for warm clothing for to help people in earthquake-torn Turkey and Syria.

The c harity is well known for coming up trumps when people are desperate - and the people of Turkey and Syria caught up in the earthquake are desperate.

They will be collecting items this week today and tomorrow from 10am to 2pm and on Saturday and Sunday (February 11 and 12) from 1pm till 4pm at the Hub on the precinct.

A spokesperson said: "They are in an unthinkable situation: cold, desolate and devastated. They have nothing.

"If you have any items that could help (blankets, footwear, jackets and jumpers) please drop them into the Hub in the precinct in Bathgate."

HomeAid in Bathgate is accepting donations of clothing, blankets, food, nappies and toiletries to help with the aid appeal.

Items like camp beds, tents, torches and mattresses are also being sought.
