Where Titans sit in AFC South standings after Week 2

The Tennessee Titans won an exhilarating overtime game against the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday afternoon to bring their record to 1-1 on the year.

Tennessee desperately needed a win to not only avoid a disastrous 0-2 start to the 2023 season, but the team needed to end its lengthy eight-game losing streak that dated all the way back to last November.

With the Titans topping the Chargers, the Jacksonville Jaguars losing to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Indianapolis Colts beating the Houston Texans, the Titans, Colts and Jaguars each have one win apiece. The Texans are the only winless team left in the AFC South at the moment.

If you include tie-breakers, this is how things shake out for now:

1. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)

2. Indianapolis Colts (1-1)

3. Tennessee Titans (1-1)

4. Houston Texans (0-2)

The Jaguars own the lead due to their head-to-head win over Indy. The Colts sit ahead of the Titans due to their divisional victory against the Texans.

Of course, there’s still a long way to go before we have to start thinking about tie-breakers, so it’s essentially a three-way tie for first place.

Looking ahead to Week 3, the Titans will go back on the road to take on the Cleveland Browns. The Colts will visit the Baltimore Ravens and the Jags will host the Texans.
