There has been some disappointment and frustration over the trade that sent Marcus Smart away from the Boston Celtics for Kristaps Porzingis among fans given Smart’s role as the heart and soul of the Celtics. Despite the fact that the trade brought good value in terms of the assets received, some still find it difficult to accept.
That’s due in part to the unexpected nature of the trade, and the other deal involving Malcolm Brogdon falling through, adding to the disappointment. To talk over the fallout of the trade as well as what it can bring to Boston’s capabilities, the hosts of the “How About Those Celtics?” podcast sat down to talk over the momentous news.
