Where is the Dublin Rose who went viral after break dancing on The Rose of Tralee?

Dublin Rose Siobheal Nic Eochaidh made 2011 a very memorable year in the dome in Tralee.

She became an online sensation after she break danced to LMFAO’s hit Party Rock Anthem live on telly for her party piece. The freestyle dance was the first of its kind for the festival. Siobheal certainly pulled it off in her ball gown and had everyone in Ireland talking.

The Rose of Tralee legend is now married to a man who she met through the competition. She also owns an accessory business Rosie and Dott which was inspired by a fellow Rose.

She told Dublin Live: "When I did the dance, I'd be doing it for a while. I did it for the Dublin Rose quarter final, semi final and then the final night. I was so used to doing it that I thought so little of it and 11 years later some people still remember it.

"It was very hard afterwards with the commenting and trolls. I was like marmite, people either loved it or hated it. The day after I was on the telly, there was a picture of me on the front page of the Irish Independent newspaper."

Siobheal says the experience will always be a huge part of her life, as she met her husband through one of her escorts. Her bridesmaids were also fellow Rose contestants.

"Some people don’t understand the Rose experience and what happens before, during and after Tralee," she added. "I’m one of the girls who milked the whole experience, it’s a huge part of my life.

"The four bridesmaids I had for my wedding were all Roses from my year. One of my escorts set me up with my husband. My business is named after the Rose of Tralee as well."

Siobheal has an accessories business called Rosie & Dott which is named after Dorothy 'Dott' Henggeler who was the 2011 Washington DC Rose. Dott loved nothing more than having a good time so Siobheal named her business after the "hardworking, go get 'em, take no prisoners legend!"

Siobheal explained: "My friend Dorothy, Dott for short, got very sick in October 2013 and passed in April 2014. We have a reunion every year in honour of her."

The Clondalkin woman continues to get involved in the Rose of Tralee competition and just returned from the Kingdom after meeting this years Roses. She added: "I was a chaperone for years as well, I would've gone on tour with the Roses. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. I came home from Kerry yesterday, it’s great craic."

Siobheal even provided accessories for this year's Dublin Rose. Rosie and Dott posted on Instagram: “When you see that the @dublinroseoftralee @clairemconnolly wore Rosie & Dott to the Rose Ball last night in Tralee. SO SPECIAL!

“Claire wore our Sinéad earrings and gold Bangle for the big night! Her dress is by @sinead.mccaffrey.couture . Can’t wait to get to Tralee tomorrow to see some pals!”
