Where is the best place to go for a free wee in Liverpool city centre?

Where do you go when you are caught short while out and about in Liverpool city centre?

This week we wrote a story about a pub in Ormskirk who caused a stir with a sign saying they are not a public toilet. A lot of people agreed with the Golden Lion's management, saying their toilets should be for customers only.

But others said it's a 'public house' and should therefore offer conveniences for the public. Some people also suggested that there doesn't seem to be as many public toilets as there used to be and maybe people were expected to use coffee shops or fast food places.

Still others said they didn't see why people should have to pay even a small amount to use a public bathroom.

St. John's shopping centre charges 20p to use its toilets and Liverpool ONE charges 30p - but where is it actually free to pee in the city centre?

One of our readers posted their opinion and said: "There is pretty much nowhere for people to go to the toilet in Liverpool city centre now or outside the centre for that matter. As the population ages toilets are a necessity (sorry to sound ageist, I appreciate many younger people suffer with "needing the loo" issues).

"Public toilets are a necessity in any town and any busy public area."
