'Where is Bale?' - Jubilant Iran fan brutally trolls Wales in radio interview following World Cup win

Wales have been left facing up to a possible group stage exit from the World Cup following a 2-0 defeat to Iran.

Late goals from Rouzbeh Cheshmi and Ramin Rezaeian were enough to condemn Rob Page's men to a damaging defeat that leaves them now needing to beat England to stand any chance of progressing to the last 16 stage.

On the flip side, Iran now have a real chance of making it through the group stages, having bounced back in fine style from their 6-2 defeat to the Three Lions.

And their fans were unsurprisingly in jubilant mood as they made their way out of the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, with one Iranian fan unable to resist a cheeky swipe at star man Gareth Bale.

Speaking to a talkSPORT reporter outside the ground, one Iranian fan said: "Where is Bale? Where is Bale?"

The reporter then concedes: "He had a quiet game didn't he?"

The fan then grabs the microphone and continues: "He's running away. Where is he?

"Tell him to come."

He then appears to jokingly look for Bale under the reporter's T-shirt, asking "Is he here?"

Bale certainly endured a torrid time on what was his 110th appearance, a tally that saw him overtake Chris Gunter as Welsh football's most-capped Welshman.

Speaking after the defeat, he was clearly crestfallen, adding his team have to show some sort of response against England to keep their World Cup hopes alive.

In the post-match interview, Bale spoke of Wales' chances of qualifying for the round of 16 with just one game remaining in the group stage - with England up next.

“It's gutting," he said. "We are gutted, there is no other way to say it. We fought until the last second, it's one of those things that's difficult to take but we have to recover and we have to try and go again.

“We are all gutted but we have to pick ourselves up straight away. It is going to be difficult for us, we have one game left, we have to try and look at every positive and still try to enjoy the occasion as well."
