Which destination has the highest libido? A new study focuses on sex drives to see which country is the hungriest for pleasure.
While everyone is doing a little spring cleaning in the romance department, Lovehoney decided it was the perfect time to introduce its followers to the "Lovehoney LibidOlympics." Have a look at the results and reset your sex life however you see fit!
Which country has the highest sex drive?
A global study with 22,000 sexually active respondents, Lovehoney LibidOlympics asked its participants to rate their libido on a scale of one to 10 to uncover which locale is eager to get down to business. Hong Kong (despite not being a country) took top marks, while Italy had the highest sex drive of European countries and America the highest in North American countries. Here's the full top 10:

Although age doesn't seem to matter when it comes to the desire for pleasure, according to the study, gender is a factor. Just like the masturbation gap, men rank their sexual appetites higher than women. However, Annabelle Knight, Lovehoney's sex and relationship expert, seems to think the numbers might not be what they appear.
“It’s likely that men are more willing to say they have a higher sex drive and vice versa for women, as outdated notions around female (and male) sexuality still exist, whether internally or externally," she said. (If so, perhaps this is another factor for the sexperts to explore?)
Overall, regardless of your geographical roots or gender, Knight insists your happiness, health and honesty are the most important parts of pleasure.
“Sex drives vary massively from person to person, and there is nothing to be ashamed of if yours is particularly lower or higher than average," she says. "The important thing is that you can communicate this openly with any romantic partner, and if you have matching high sex drives then get the sex toys out and have some fun.”
