  • Many parts of England and Wales will enjoy warm, sunny weather, surpassing temperatures in cities like Barcelona and Athens – with west Wales and western England due to have the warmest weather.
  • This warm spell follows a period of heavy rain and blustery winds, with the current highest temperature of the year being 19.2C recorded in early March.
  • Scotland and Northern Ireland are expected to have cloudier conditions, milder temperatures, and some light rain.
  • Temperatures are predicted to drop slightly on Thursday, remaining dry, before cooling towards the seasonal average by Friday.
