Former Emmerdale actress Jacqueline Pirie (now Chadwick) portrayed the role of Tina Dingle on the long running ITV soap between 1994 and 1996 and fans can still recall the cunning Dingle's time on the show fondly.
Tina was the daughter of Zak Dingle and his wife Nellie Dingle, she first appeared in the village in December 1994 and last appeared in December 1996 when actress Jacqueline decided she no longer wanted to be in the limelight.
Tina was the black sheep of the family, the brainy and cunning Dingle, who smartened herself up when she became the assistant to millionaire Frank Tate.

Since leaving, Tina has lived in London, she has been mentioned a few times by Zak, apparently Tina got married in 1997.
The following year Tina gained a half sister Belle Dingle by her father's marriage to Lisa but Tina has never visited the village since her 1996 departure.
Jacqueline also briefly appeared in rival soap Coronation Street in 1998 as factory machinist Linda Sykes.
The storyline involving her character's relationship with Mike Baldwin won Best Storyline at The British Soap Awards in 2001, she left Coronation Street in 2001 to pursue other interests.

Since 2004, Jacqueline has been teaching drama and running her own performing arts workshop, the Jacqueline Chadwick Academy of Performing Arts.
She set up a drama school in her hometown of Stirling in 2007, she opened one of her drama schools in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada, before moving it to Victoria, British Columbia, where she now resides with her family.
A woman of many talents Jacqueline went on to have a successful writing career.

In an earlier interview the Tina Dingle actress said: “When I started out in the soaps, celebrity didn’t exist and your private life was pretty much your own. That all changed in the Noughties when the phenomenon of stardom took off.
“After having my two children, I decided it was time to quit acting as I didn’t want them be forced into the limelight because of me. I wanted to concentrate on the things that really mattered – being a wife and mother.
“Turning to writing was a no-brainer. I’ve always, for as long as I can remember, squirrelled myself away writing between acting jobs and even during breaks between scenes.”
