Edinburgh is set to experience a real taste of magic this week as the 'Hogwarts Express' flies through the capital on its way to the Highlands.
The Jacobite, a classic steam locomotive that played the role of the mystical train in the iconic film series, will be making its way through Scotland on Tuesday (April 19).
A slightly more distinctive sight than your usual six-carriage ScotRail train, the stunning piece of machinery will thunder up the coast and pass through a number of Edinburgh locations, before heading west and then to the Highlands.

For most, the train will be best recognised when it passes over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, an attraction that usually sees tens of tourists waiting on the hillside to watch it, reports Glasgow Live.

First crossing Dunbar at 9.31am, the locomotive will then hit Prestonpans at 9.52am before heading through Millerhill towards Edinburgh.
The first sighting of the train inn Edinburgh will be at Niddrie West junction at 10.24am, before hitting Craiglockhart Junction at 10.45am, and Slateford Junction at 11.02am.
