Where is Michigan State going to end up bowling this year? Apparently, nowhere, according to Erick Smith of USA TODAY.
Smith released his updated batch of bowl projections on Tuesday, and the Spartans didn’t make the cut. Michigan State had been in the mix of Smith’s weekly bowl projections for most of this year, but Michigan State’s three straight losses have dropped them out this week.
Michigan State is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in Big Ten play on the year. The Spartans must win at least three more games to reach the bowl eligibility.
Michigan State is on a bye this week and will return to action next week against Iowa. Kickoff from Spartan Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC.
