Michigan State is in a good spot to reach the postseason following Saturday’s victory over Iowa.
Brett McMurphy released his updated bowl projections on Monday, and the Spartans were included once again. McMurphy has the Spartans heading to the Birmingham Bowl in Birmingham, Ala. on December 27. He is projecting the Spartans to face NC State of the ACC in the game.
The Spartans are now 4-3 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play with the upset win over Iowa. That win also made sure Michigan State remained in Action Network’s latest batch of bowl projections.
Michigan State will look to boost its bowl stock in a big-time rivalry matchup against Michigan. Kickoff between the Spartans and Wolverines is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
