Where are Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV This Morning?

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield weren't on This Morning as usual today (Tuesday July 12), with Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond fronting the programme.

Holly and Phil usually host the ITV daytime programme from Monday to Thursday, with Alison and Dermot taking over on Fridays. But now Holly, 41, and Phil, 62, have gone off on their summer break, making way for a different cast of celebrities to host the show until their return in September.

Following This Morning on Friday (July 8), the duo both both took to Instagram to share a final selfie ahead of the break. Posing for the snap outside in the sun, Phillip wrote: "To the best human. Thank you for an amazing series @hollywilloughby."

He then added: "Happy summer break, see you in September," alongside a red heart emoji. Mum-of-three Holly then reshared his post to her own millions of followers and added her own sweet message.

"And you my darling... love you." She then added: "See you soon handsome pants!" While they take the next several weeks off, This Morning will continue on with sets of different hosts taking over the ITV show.

Friday favourites Alison and Dermot will be hosting the first two weeks, and continuing to keep the summer sofa sizzling throughout the coming weeks will be a mix of on-screen partnerships. The duos will be made up of Josie Gibson, Vernon Kay, Rochelle Humes, Craig Doyle, Mollie King, and Andi Peters while Ruth Langsford will return to the show for the first time since last year for a week of episodes alongside Rylan Clark.
