Newcastle United supporters must wait until the start of July to find out when they can watch their team on TV. The Premier League fixture list for 2022-23 was announced at 9am this morning and Eddie Howe’s troops kick off their season at St James’ Park against newly-promoted Nottingham Forest.
An away trip to Brighton follows before the Magpies take on Manchester City (H), Wolves (A) and Liverpool (A) to complete their first five fixtures.
TV scheduling for the opening weekend has already been confirmed, with Newcastle’s home clash against Forest non-televised. The 3pm blackout rule enforced in English football prevents networks from broadcasting the game in the United Kingdom.
