James, as of Friday morning, now has 38,325 in his career, so it’s only a matter of a few games before he breaks the record. But if you’re wondering when to tune in or perhaps try to see it in person (I imagine it’ll be expensive), this tracker will attempt to help you out.

James is currently averaging 30.1 points per game in 2022-23. If he kept that up, he could break it at home against the Thunder on Tuesday, February 7 or on the 9th against the Bucks.
Is there any chance he'd set it elsewhere?
Of course that’s possible. I can’t imagine he’d want to just ease up in a game in which the Lakers were close given that they’re still chasing a playoff spot.
