The exact time and place rain will drench the UK has been revealed by forecasters.

Rain is initially expected in parts of the north of England - in areas such as Tyneside and Yorkshire - today before it spreads further south to Norwich, according to charts by Ventusky show.

Rain is expected in these areas from 10am, with thunderstorms hitting Lincolnshire from around the same time.
