Many parts of the UK have been enjoying some fine weather recently, and any families currently enjoying the half-term holiday are in luck because the sunshine is set to stick around this week. On Thursday the Met Office forecasts that morning cloud with give way to "plenty of warm sunshine", and it will also be "warm sunshine for many" after a cloudy start on Friday.
Wales will be particularly lucky, with highs of 23°C and 22°C on Thursday and Friday respectively. The UK will experience "mainly fine and settled weather" from Saturday to Monday, again with "warm sunshine for many", though low cloud will persist across parts of the north and east. For Wales in particular, Saturday to Monday will see "warm days", with "plenty of strong sunshine, but some cloud is likely at times, mainly during the mornings."
But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end - so, when will it rain again? We've had a look at the Met Office's long range weather forecast for the UK, from Monday, June 5, until June 29 - and sadly it looks like June could see some rainfall.

According to the weather agency, the period from June 5 until June 14 will see "predominantly settled conditions, with plenty of fine, dry weather and the west of the sunshine in the west". However, it adds that "cloudier conditions, with occasional patches of drizzle are possible...in northern and eastern areas".
Meanwhile, lower pressure is expected to develop in the south of the UK, which could bring an "increasing risk of rain, showers or thunderstorms to southern areas at time". For the period from June 15 to June 29, low pressure in the south might bring "unsettled conditions" in the south, with "a risk of thundery showers or rain in southern areas", whilst drier conditions are more likely in the north, where high pressure and settled conditions are expected.
