When the 'feature length' Succession finale is on and what time it airs in the UK

The highly-anticipated Succession finale is just around the corner, bringing the popular HBO show to an end after five years.

The Emmy-winning series follows Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his family who run the fictional multi-billion dollar media company Waystar Royco. Fans are eager to find out what happens next for the divided Roy clan, following Logan's unexpected death earlier in the series and the drama-filled penultimate funeral episode.

Another family secret was realised at Logan's funeral in episode nine, while his son Roman (Kieran Culkin) broke down and brother Kendall (Jeremy Strong) had to stand in and read his prepared eulogy for him. The final episode, titled With Eyes Open, has a lot of loose ends to tie up - including, of course, who will take charge of Waystar Royco for good.

Episode 10 will be feature-length, clocking in at 90 minutes long. Succession's creator, Peep Show's Jesse Armstrong, confirmed in February that the fourth season, which began airing on March 27, will be its last.

Ahead of the finale, Brian told the BBC that he 'still believes' his character, foul-mouth Logan, is alive. He told BBC Two’s Amol Rajan Interviews: “I still believe this, maybe Logan isn’t dead.

"This could be part of an elaborate ruse to find out. If you think about it, from Logan’s point of view, he has to find out how are his children going to behave when he dies, what will then happen? The only way to do that is to fake his death and actually, at some distant point, he’s observing the chaos that is following.”

But he added that the character would not “come back from the dead”, saying: “I’m just saying that could have been a supposition.”

Succession fans will have to stay up late to watch the finale live - and it is a bank holiday, after all. The final episode airs at 2am on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Monday, May 29.

It's being broadcast in the UK at the same time as the US, hence the early morning slot. If you're fancying a lie-in, you can also stream the finale on NOW from Monday.
