NEW DELHI: The opposition has been alleging that not just Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also women and child development minister Smriti Irani have not spoken on the ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur since May 3. Irani not just replied but she sought to put the opposition in the dock.
The Rajya Sabha witnessed an unprecedented scene during the question hour on Wednesday. Several opposition members deviated from their assigned topic and spoke about Manipur when they were asked by chairperson Jagdeep Dhankhar to put forth their question to the concerned minister.
