When Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann stopped cavalcade on vague call of a youth

BARNALA: The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday shared a video clip of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann stopping to the call of a youngster standing at road side during his road show on Sunday. In the surprising move, Mann's cavalcade stops after the youth signals and raises voice for him to stop as he wanted to talk. In a vague way, the youth says O roki 2 minute (stop for two minutes). As the cavalcade stops, the person races towards Mann's vehicle.

Mann can be seen holding hands of the youth, as he raises concern about the Agnipath scheme and says in Punjabi 'maan saab maran wale ho rahe ne juak, tuhanu tweet karke... ja ta state di team bhejo, tuhade saaria statan ch link ne, saare mps naal mil ke karo' (Mann Saab, the youth are like dying, wanted to tweet, either send a state team or speak to MPs as you have links in every states).

Bhagwant Mann is heard saying bahut galat ho reha (wrong is happening, main khud jaunga (I will personally go), while assuring the youth in 30 second long video clip.

AAP's official Twitter handle shared the video, with the caption, "reason why Punjab loves Bhagwant Mann".

Mann was participating in a road show in support of party candidate Gurmail Singh contesting Sangrur by-election.

The protests against Agnipath are getting violent in many states though in Punjab, it happened only at Ludhiana railway station to an extent. AAP has opposed the scheme and party's Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha has written to defence minister Rajnath Singh to roll back the scheme.
