McDonald's will serve halloumi fries in the UK for the first time this summer.
The side will be on sale at McDonald's when it adds the Taste of Cyprus menu in July. McDonald's will switch to its summer menu this week.
It comes in two stages, first the Taste of Italy range of burgers, sides and desserts - including a tiramisu McFlurry and the return of mozzarella dippers - will be added to menus this week. Then Cyprus and Spain-inspired burgers and sides will be sold from late July.

The Cyprus range includes halloumi fries "coated in a light batter and served with a rich tomato dip" which Maccies reckons will become "a firm favourite for an epic picnic bite".
What are halloumi fries?
Where have you been? In recent years halloumi's popularity has grown in the UK. One of the most popular ways to serve it is deep-fried and cut into chip-like strips.
Halloumi is a semi-hard Cypriot cheese that doesn't melt easily, making it ideal for frying as it holds its shape and texture. As the name suggests, halloumi 'fries' are deep-fried slices of cheese. Burger King already sells them, but McDonald's hasn't yet in the UK.
When do halloumi fries go on sale at McDonald's?
McDonald's will start serving halloumi fries from July 27 until September 6, 2022. They will be available to order throughout the UK.
How much are McDonald's halloumi fries?
Halloumi Fries will be priced at £2.49 for a box of four, or £6.49 for a larger share box. A four-piece box has around 210Kacl, McDonald's says, making each fry around 52 kcal each.
