When is UK Pride in Newcastle this year? Dates for Northern Pride celebrations

Pride is soon set to make a triumphant return to Newcastle for the first time since 2019, having staged virtual celebrations for the past two years during the pandemic.

As the city plays host to UK Pride 2022, organisers Northern Pride are promising the “biggest Pride festival weekend ever” this month. The event will be a showcase of the region’s LGBTQ+ talent, with more than 90% of the acts involved hailing from the North East.

UK Pride celebrations will kick off on Friday 22 July, continuing across the weekend before wrapping up on Sunday 24. The UK Pride Launch begins on Friday evening with a ticketed fundraiser event featuring performances from Todrick Hall, Jodie Harsh and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Bimini.
